July 2026

 

Following our recent AGM, the following changes/new charges will be made from September 2026:

1) Junior Club Charge - £5.00 per Junior for any/all time beteen 7pm and 8:30pm

 

2) Adult Visitor Charge - £6.00 for first 2 hours (or any time within that period) and an additional £2.00 for the third hour if it applies.

 

3) Adult Club Member - £5.00 for the first 2 hours (or any time within that period) and an additional £1.00 for the third hour if it applies.

 

We are also preparing for the 2026/27 Swansea League Competiton that plays from October through to the following April.

Currently we have 3 teams applying for Membership.  If you are interested in playing League Table Tennis for our Club then contact us (via the contact page) as soon as possible.

 

Some changes have also taken place within the Officer/Committee Structure with Stan Eastwood (being allowed to) stand down as Club Secretarey after 40 years of continued Service to the Club either as Treasurer (2 years), Chairman (2 years), and Secretary (36 years).  However, Members have not let him get away fully and he will take the post of 'Assistant Secretary' so as to ease the new inclumbant into the post.

February 2026

 

As we enter our 40th Anniversary Year (1986 to 2026) we are looking to expand our visibility within the Lesiure Centre.

First we intend to have a 2mt Stand-up Roller Banner printed and installed within the leisure Centre foyer. 

 

Once completed we also intend to place a Banner within the Main Hall - attached to the Balcony Railings.  We also hope to place a 2nd Banner on the railings (on the main road) that surround the Leisure Centre or on the part of the Railings that border the running track and faces the Lesiure Centre enterance.  

 

 

Additionally, Club Members have voted to change to a new Club and Team Kit.

September 2025

 

3 Teams have now been entered in to the Swansea League.  Carmarthen A will play in the Premier Division (all Teams play on a Wednesday Night in Morriston Leisure Centre).  Carmarthen B and C will play their Home Matches on a Thursday (Club) Evening at the Carmarthen Leisure Centre.  

 

July 2025

 

Preperation is underway for 3 Teams to be entered in to the Swansea and District Table Tennis League for the forthcoming 2025-26 League Season.  This usually plays between October one year to the following April.

 

A new post of 'Assistant Secretary' has been created in order for the incumbant to Assist the Current Club Secretary (Stan Eastwood) ease in to retirement. He has served the Club in all three major Roles of the Club (Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) for all of the history of the formalised Club (39 years in August 2025 [Club started in February 1986 and formally became a Registerd Club in August 1986]).

The Club is currently prepairing for the 2024 Swansea and District League Season.  We will have 2 Teams in the League, 1 in the Premier League and 1 in the 1st Division.
